About Dr. Davtyan
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Davtyan pursued residency training in general surgery, followed by fellowship training in acute burn surgery and surgical critical care at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Advancing his expertise further, he completed additional clinical fellowships at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where his training encompassed plastic surgery burn care, pediatric plastic surgery, and acute reconstructive burn surgery.
Dr. Davtyan’s academic background features a clinical research tenure at the University of Pennsylvania, alongside investigations conducted throughout his surgical trainings. His primary research interests center on the application of advanced skin substitutes to facilitate the healing and reconstruction of complex traumatic and burn-related wounds.
Dr. Davtyan holds professional affiliations with American Burn Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He maintains his commitment to continuing medical education through participation in American Burn Association annual meetings and trauma and burn conferences.
